Our 18th century repertoire combines dance music and airs with revolutionary songs, love ballads, drinking songs and more. The songs and tunes originated in England, Scotland, Ireland and America. Below are some samples.

My Love is Like a Red Red Rose is one of the most well known songs of 18th century Scottish poet and song-writer, Robert Burns.

In the Good Old Colony Days is a lighthearted look at times past.

Miss Bowle's Minuet has a Scottish origin but we learned it from a manuscript owned by patriot John Greenwood. Greenwood fought in the Revolution, played the fife and flute and made teeth for George Washington.
